Scott FireFit ‘Toronto Open’ Combat Challenge Event 2008

The following list captures media coverage that the Toronto Fire Combat Challenge Team received during their host event which took place July 4-6, 2008.


CFRB Radio – coverage ran approximately 6 times during each event day capturing approximately 91,571 listeners/day.

680 News – coverage ran approximately 6 times per each event day capturing approximately 29,712 listeners/day.

Beach Metro Newspaper – A news article ran in the Beach Metro in the June 2008 edition reaching approximately 90,000 people.

Town Crier – Information regarding the event was posted in the Town Crier reaching approximately 75,000 people.

City TV – Breakfast TV – Members of the team were guests on Jennifer Valentine’s LIVE-EYE which reaches approximately 58,000 viewers each morning. Excerpts of the coverage were aired throughout the day.

City TV – CP 24 – Interview coverage of the final day event was featured on CP 24 which reaches approximately 34,000 viewers. The interview was aired from 2:00pm throughout the evening on the final day of the competition.

Rogers TV Channel 10 – Two members of the team were interviewed about the event in June 2008.

SNAP Beaches – Pictures of the event were showcased in the August 2008 edition of SNAP Beaches

EZ Rock – Provided air coverage of the event during the Saturday of the event.

CTV news – Coverage of the event, including an interview with members of the team was featured on the 6:00pm and 11:00pm news

Toronto SUN Newspaper – An article and photographs about the event were highlighted in the Toronto SUN newspaper which reaches approximately 440,603 people.

CHUM Radio – Promotional information advertising the combat challenge event was aired on the Roger, Rick and Marilyn morning show prior to the event.
